A wonderful day on great Putnam County roads.

Highlights include the long, challenging climb up Indian Brook Road; the gorgeous traverse of Fahnestock State Park on slightly feral Sunken Mine Road; the perfect paved curves and rolls of East Boyds Road; picturebook views on Hosner Mountain; the challenging dirt ascent of East Hook Road, and the blazing paved descent of East Mountain Road South.
Lunch at Boyd’s Corner Market, mile 19 (probably 2 hours into the ride).
Note: Sunken Mine is a seasonal road, not plowed/maintained in the winter.
Recommended tires: 28c or larger
